But sorry a little bite in german... ich finde das Lichtflackern war a little bite bad and the animation and, I’m sorry in German... man hat unter dem Lego Arm etwas Knete gesehen und ich würde die Knete besser verstecken.

but not chance of my opinion that I find your brickfilm very good!

Here comes my review to the Brick-, Zeichen-, und Trickfilmwettbewerb Nr.2:

What I liked:
The speech sychronisation works perfectly with the song, also the animation of the Lego and non-Legp-Materials. The cloud animation in the background was a very good idea and the animation of the song text is nice too.

What I disliked:
The background was partly a bit too pale. The kinked arms (e. g. at 1:20) are optical hardly bearable to me (I think it's quite a bad use of the Lego figures as they were not built for this). The change of the figures at the end is too fast (it's hard to see how they look like). Sometimes too much flickering. And I did not see the relation to the topic "Split".

My rating: 3/10 points.

Edit: Translation to English according to the other reviewers here and to make it easier readable for the movie creator.

I love the cartoonish style of your animation, I like the figures and the different materials you used. You also built in little details like the moving clouds in the background. The movements and espacially the face animations fit to the music. Pretty cool!

I don't like the song. It's just a matter of taste, can't tell what's exactly the thing I don't like about the song, but I think it's the sound in general.

All in all a good Brickfilm!

Hi Joshua,
I'm very glad that you took part in this contest, even dispite the language barrier!
And, I like your video very much.

A lot of positives, some already said, I can add to them that I like the cartoony style, how you play with the facual animation and for example that the dough you used for the arm binding is visual, all that wonderfully adds to the cartoonishness and unrealness, simultaneously giving it a sense of life. An aspect that I would count out myself is the theme of your video. A simple idea of the self being torn apart, wonderfully done justice with this monster school story that feels like it would have a whole universe behind it. Also, despite me not listening to that type of music that much, with your video it was still a very enjoyable experience!

Now to come to some critique, what I would say is that, maybe because of it's music video nature, it all is a little bit rushed. To understand it on a thematic level, I had to watch it several times. Although the little message in the end sums it up quite well, it is a different experience once you read it. Still something quite minor. Also, the arm cutting sequence made me a bit uncomfortable, but that is more due to own taste then a fault of your film .

As for a rating, I would give this a 8/10.

I liked the animation of the faces. Simple but fits totally to the song. The bat effect, from bat to vampire was awesome. This was a nearly perfect morphing.

I really like the mouth movements in your Film. They fit well with the Song.
I also really like the use of a sheet of paper, which crumples up to a paper ball.
Your Film matches the theme well.

I have noticed, That your Setting was very clean and White. I would prefer a much More detailed background. Also its Not my favorit music style, but everyone has a different music Taste.
